<img src="https://www.1chest.com/images/2020/06/19/11844/thumb_antibody-test_1.jpeg" width="100" height="75" /> VIVO Clinic is using its current infrastructure to provide private COVID-19 testing to those who would like to test for the virus.

You can find out more about VIVO Clinic by visiting https://vivoclinic.com, or give them a call on 0333 305 8486.

VIVO Clinic offer a range of testing for the coronavirus, including in-clinic phlebotomy antibody testing and phlebotomy services at your home. Their mission is to help reduce pressure on the NHS and prevent the spread of COVID-19 by giving private organisations access to testing.

VIVO Clinic can provide your organisation with Abbott’s IgG Antibody Test, where a blood sample is collected via phlebotomy. The test determines if you have previously been infected with COVID-19. This can help organisations to determine if it is safe for your employees to work. You can undergo sample collection for Abbott’s COVID-19 IgG Antibody Test at one of our clinics across the UK, or at your home or workplace. With our phlebotomy services, our qualified Phlebotomists will collect a venous sample directly from the vein. Following this, the sample will be sent to a CQC registered and Public Health approved laboratory that we have partnered with, who will carry out Abbott’s COVID-19 IgG Antibody Test using Abbott’s Architect Machine.

You can find out more about VIVO Clinic by visiting https://vivoclinic.com, or give them a call on 0333 305 8486.

Medical professionals will examine the blood sample to determine if Immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies related to COVID-19 are present. IgG antibodies are associated with longer-term immunity to diseases. However, it is important to note that Abbott’s pathology-based IgG Antibody Test does not confirm if you are completely immune to the coronavirus.

Abbott’s COVID-19 IgG Antibody Test was one of the first antibody tests to be approved for individual use by Public Health England. This type of COVID-19 test has a sensitivity of 100% and a specificity of 99%. Results are sent to clients within 48 hours after the laboratory has received your sample. The UK government are using antibody tests like Abbott’s to screen NHS workers.

You can find out more about VIVO Clinic by visiting https://vivoclinic.com, or give them a call on 0333 305 8486.

VIVO Clinic are able to offer the following services:

In-Clinic Phlebotomist Services – Abbott IgG Antibody Test

You can make an appointment with one of our qualified Phlebotomists, who will collect a venous blood sample directly from your vein. Rest assured, our Phlebotomists have the relevant qualifications to be able to collect a venous blood sample, and will be wearing all of the necessary PPE when collecting the sample. Once the Phlebotomist has collected the venous sample, this will be sent to the government approved laboratory that we have partnered with.

Once the laboratory has received your venous sample, they will conduct Abbott’s COVID-19 IgG Antibody Test to confirm if you have previously had the coronavirus. You will be sent your results within 48 hours.

Home Visit Phlebotomist Services – Abbott IgG Antibody Test

If you are unable to attend one of our clinics across the UK, we can arrange for one of our qualified Phlebotomists to visit your home or workplace to collect a venous sample. Our qualified Phlebotomists will arrive wearing all of the necessary PPE. Once the venous blood sample has been collected, our Phlebotomists will take away any used components to be disposed of safely.

You can find out more about VIVO Clinic by visiting https://vivoclinic.com, or give them a call on 0333 305 8486.

The sample will then be sent to the government approved laboratory, where it will be analysed. You should be sent your results within 48 hours after the laboratory has received your sample.

Vacutainer Kit – Abbott IgG Antibody Test

VIVO Clinic are also offering a Vacutainer Kit, which contains the necessary components for a Phlebotomist to obtain a venous blood sample. This includes a ‘butterfly’ needle, a blood collection tube and 95kPa plastic bag or wallet. Please note that when you purchase this type of COVID-19 test, it is your responsibility to arrange for a qualified Medical Professional such as a Phlebotomist or a Doctor to collect your blood sample. You must not attempt to collect the venous sample yourself without the necessary qualifications.

You can find out more about VIVO Clinic by visiting https://vivoclinic.com, or give them a call on 0333 305 8486.

Once the venous sample has been collected by the qualified Medical Professional, you must send this to the laboratory in the pre-paid envelope provided. You must send the venous sample on the same day that it is collected to avoid issues such as clotting which may prevent the laboratory from testing the sample.

You will be sent your results within 48 hours of the laboratory receiving your sample.

COVID-19 PCR Tests

PCR tests are currently being used by the UK government to determine who is infected with COVID-19. The PCR test involves taking a swab of the nose or throat and sending this off to a laboratory for examination. The sample is analysed by medical professionals to determine if genetic material that is linked to COVID-19 is present.

VIVO Clinic have partnered with government approved laboratories to be able to provide the best service. All those who undergo PCR testing will receive results within 48 hours and will be given official documentation from the laboratory. Clients will also receive a pre-test and post-test consultation to clarify results and discuss the next steps.

This method of testing is simple, and only requires your staff to take a sample and send this off to the laboratory in the envelope provided.

This is the first pathology-based antibody test that has been authorised by Public Health England to be sold on the market for individual home use.

You can find out more by visiting https://vivoclinic.com or calling VIVO Clinic  on 0207 1646 955

Abbott’s IgG Home Testing Kit is a finger-prick test which confirms if a person has previously been infected with the coronavirus. Abbott’s pathology-based test is 99% accurate and can help those who wish to return to work.

How does the IgG Home Testing Kit work?

Abbott’s IgG Antibody Test identifies the presence of Immunoglobulin G (IgG) antibodies in a blood sample. IgG antibodies are created in response to the COVID-19 infection. This type of COVID-19 antibody is linked to longer-term immunity. Therefore, IgG antibodies can show if a person has previously been infected with COVID-19. Abbott’s lab-based test should be taken 14 to 21 days after symptoms are first experienced.

You can find out more by visiting https://vivoclinic.com or calling VIVO Clinic  on 0207 1646 955

It is important to note that this type of COVID-19 test does not certify that a person is completely immune to the coronavirus. At the current time, there is no evidence to prove that a person cannot be infected with COVID-19 more than once.

Abbott’s antibody finger-prick test enables individuals to take a blood sample from the comfort of their own home. The home testing kit comes with all the components that you need, including lancets, a plastic tube, a plastic container, an alcohol pad, a cotton pad, a postage envelope and a pathology form.

You can find out more by visiting https://vivoclinic.com or calling VIVO Clinic  on 0207 1646 955

Once the blood sample is collected, it can be sent to the UKAS accredited laboratory that VIVO Clinic have partnered with in the postage envelope that is provided with the pathology-based home testing kit. You will receive your results within 24 hours from when the laboratory has received your blood sample. A positive result confirms that you were previously infected with COVID-19.

How do you collect the blood sample?

For Abbott’s pathology-based test, individuals are required to collect a blood sample. Fortunately, collecting a home test sample is simple. Before sample collection, an individual must use the alcohol pad to sterilise the tip of the finger, and then pierce the skin with a lancet. Next, the individual must wipe away the first drop of blood with the cotton pad and massage the finger to deposit blood into the test tube.

Once the test tube has been filled to the desired line, it must be sealed, and you should fill in your information on the label before placing the tube inside the plastic container. The final stage of sample collection is to fill in the pathology form, and place this and the sample in the postage envelope provided.

You can find out more by visiting https://vivoclinic.com or calling VIVO Clinic  on 0207 1646 955

Why should I choose this type of COVID-19 test?

Abbott’s home IgG antibody test kit enables individuals to get the answers they need without leaving their home. Sample collection is easy to perform and you will be sent your results within 24 hours once your blood sample has been received by the laboratory. The whole process takes roughly 48 hours.

Moreover, Abbott’s pathology-based home testing kit is 99% accurate. The sample is examined by medical professionals from a UKAS accredited laboratory.

This type of COVID-19 test can determine if people have previously been infected with the coronavirus, even if they did not experience symptoms.

You can find out more by visiting https://vivoclinic.com or calling VIVO Clinic  on 0207 1646 955

Abbott’s IgG antibody test is CE certified and has been authorised for emergency use by the FDA.

You can find out more by visiting https://vivoclinic.com or calling VIVO Clinic  on 0207 1646 955

VIVO Clinic will be donating 1 in 10 IgG home testing kits to key workers who are keeping our society going during this difficult time.
